self-promotion
Ok big breath in saying Assured and Breath out saying Shannon. I am working on the super fabulous Firestarter program from Danielle Laporte. I am on the lesson about self-promotion. basically I have to get over myself and celebrate my gifts that I can and do share with the world. I am anchored with integrity to purpose and meaning. ( from the Firestarter program) I am now proceeding with: passion-based, value-driven, do-good-things-in-the-world, unabashedly proud self-promotion. ( again from the Firestarter program.)
so here goes: I am about to shamelessly and proudly promote myself right here and now.
I am the Psychic Cowgirl. this means that I have a talent for reading energies in this dimension and other dimensions. I do this and help my clients release blocks that are in their energy. I can see, feel, and acknowledge these blocks from the energies of the clients words, and actions. it is so fabulously cool! I can also see past life energies, glimpses of future possibilities and talk to dead people to help my clients heal.
I am also able to channel energies such as the sentience Gaia also known as mother earth. I also channel a group of energies I call Merlin, simply because I want to. I also am able to channel a group of beings called Arcturians who are amazing at medical, science and business questions.
when a client has a session with me there is no script, we go wherever the energies take us, simply because I am tapped into a higher wisdom that directs the sessions to go where it is for the highest and best interest of the client. I am an expert at reading the energies and translating that into healing for the client. this is a natural talent, and it took me a very long time before I understood that not everyone can do it. In fact, as of right now I have not met anyone that can do what I can do so effortlessly.
I have taken a theta healing class, Metaphysics classes, and a channeling class to help me figure out how to focus what I can do, and to help in explaining it. it is a whole lot of magic, a lot of really listening, and a lot of connection.
I am using these talents of mine to empower others to use their own guidance systems. to release feelings of unworthiness, unvalued and to embrace their own magical, divine selves. to gain an awareness that life does not have to be a struggle, that each time you peel away a layer of your own stifling belief systems magic happens, manifesting happens, amazing opportunities happen, and there are no limits.
I have met amazing people. and saw amazing things they did and can do. gaining an awareness and getting out of their own way seems to be a key. exactly like me getting out of my own way on the self-promotion crud I was stuck in. I am fantastic at what I do. I have the best life, I have people who come to see me or talk to me on the phone who want to create a change in their life and I get to help them. I am blunt, I will call you on any BS you try to hide behind, but I do not judge. I have been there myself.
it is healing for your Soul. you get to see yourself in a new light that is way shinier than you thought. you get to start experiencing your own connection to the divine energies and do healing on yourself. it is a big ripple effect.
I say that I am a psychic~mostly to blast the stereotype of a psychic. I am an intuitive counselor, past life seer, future possibilities seer, channel, remote viewer, and all around amazing magical, bodacious, and quirky mystic. oh yeah, I am also an ordained minister, so welcome to the church of Shannon.
I believe limits are for credit cards and not a way to live your life. I have shown people we are limitless if we choose to be. I am living my dream life. I have an amazing husband, whom I have taught to be intuitive his own self, since I got tired of answering his questions all the time. I have amazing children with powers themselves who I love watching expand and explore their world. I have a ranch with cows, horses, llama, highland steer, and bulls. some are for making $$ , some are for my pleasure. I have my own business where people pay me to guide them. I have a store on my ranch that sells mystical fun items, and I only have to walk across my yard to work. my store is online and I have shipped products all over Canada and the U.S. I get to go to gift shows to shop for my store which completely indulges my love for shopping. . How fabulous is that!!
I plan for it to only get better as I embrace new opportunities. speaking gigs and more teaching, and working with groups is where I plan on expanding into. wahoo for me!! I am living my dream life and it is even better than I imagined.

Life Purpose
one of the questions that come up in sessions is “what is my life purpose.” a valid question, and one that a variety of workshops, and books attempt to help you answer. here is why they seem to fall short for you. looking for a life purpose has the energy of a career or job that you are to be doing that will fulfill and excite you and make everything better. ” if I could just find my life purpose, then everything will fall into place”
well here is my pondering on that. your life purpose is to be you. the end. that is it. sure, sounds easy, but is it really? being you and accepting all the things you love/like about yourself, and all the things that you do not. love them anyway. finding a purpose for your life involves you being in total alignment with you. being confident and comfortable in your own skin. when you are aligned with you, it does not matter what anyone else does or says you know exactly who you are and what works for you at all times. we give our-self tools for this. when you get that uneasy feeling in your tummy, or you feel something is off~IT IS!!! instead of trying to make excuses and tell ourselves we are overreacting, it is time to say OK- something is off about this in my energy I am going to honour that and myself.
we have become a society where it is easier to follow the crowd, or do what others expect of us, at the same time we celebrate those who do not do this. ( Lady Gaga, Einstein~ yes I did put those two in the same category. ) we love those quirky, outspoken people, yet we have a fear of doing it ourselves. we are quick to judge ourselves and others if they are not following the mold or norm, while celebrating those that have a level of fame for not following the mold. a whole lot of confusion and contrast.
aligning you with you is great. it does not mean that life is serene and peaceful and you float through oblivious and happy. that would probably involve mind altering substances and that is never a good idea. aligning you with you does mean that you gain a level of confidence, and you are able to handle life contrasts and work through them a whole lot easier. you are able to recognize what truly triggers you and work through why, and then release that energy and move forward. There is a sense of inner peace that comes from knowing that you can handle anything and that everything that happens has a purpose behind it. no one is doing anything to you they do not have that power. you do.
so, finding a life purpose comes from a perspective of how you wish to feel in your life. what feels good to you? does helping others feel better about themselves appeal to you? does working with numbers and the satisfaction of having everything balance appeal to you? does connecting others with the magic of their own inner wisdom appeal to you? ( that is mine) start from the inside rather than the outside. what feels good? does hanging out with your kids and keeping your spaces organized and tidy feel good to you? what do you do that gives you huge satisfaction and a smile when you accomplish it? work from that feeling and find a career or job or lifestyle that appeals to you. it is way less about $$$ than it is about quality of life and a lifestyle that makes you and your soul happy.
the challenges will never go away, you are here to embrace them , and you soul creates them for you. you would be bored silly without them. thank your soul for the learning experiences, being incarnated on this planet at this time automatically means that you are brave and warrior-like. this planet is not for the weak. embrace your power and realize how amazing you are, your soul thinks so and so do I.

Spa Day for your Soul
I recently had a Spa Day for your Soul at my healing house. it was amazing. not that I remember all of it, when I am channeling I am not always able to remember all the details. note to self~ record everything!! it was a jam packed day. a lot of info and a lot of healing went on. Goddess Gaia ( Mother Earth) joined us and answered questions and even did some healing on all of us. an incredibly amazing day!
the day was amazing, the days leading up to it, not so much. I learned a huge lesson on why it is important to focus on your strengths and find someone else to do the rest. organizing the details of the day, who is coming, who is not, lunch, snacks etc…. is not my strength. getting the info together to present, tuning into the energy of who is coming to see what info their soul wants them to have etc… is my strength and I love that part. organizing the event brings my energy down, organizing the material and presenting brings my energy up, way up. see how that works.
so, since I completely loved teaching and helping the lovely participants align with themselves and answering questions. let me tell you the day went in a totally cool direction, I asked for a way to do this without the details that lower my energy. well I got the answer. wahoo!! a life changing experience on being in business
October 4, 2009. I drove to Calgary to attend a firestarter session with Danielle Laporte. it was the best 11 hours. 8 driving -3 of impactful information. As promised she gave us amazing tips on how to rock our business. I still refer to the notes I made at the session that was over 6 months ago. She is that good!!
Since that life changing session I look at my business with a completely different perspective. I am learning to let go of business “shoulds” and trying to do things in a traditional business way. It does not fit for me and now I understand that it is OK, and implementing my way of doing business gives me more success because it comes from a more authentic place. Juicy right? I felt like a switch was triggered and I was able to peel away layers and stuck energies that were dragging me down because I was in the pattern of- well that was how I was taught in business school. so what? if that strategy does not work then it is not right. change perspectives. find something that does. one of the biggest pointers Danielle Laporte gives, is be yourself, do things from an authentic place in your soul, rather that from a “soul sucking it is what everyone else does place”. innovative!
After reading her sample chapter when I signed up for her new firestarter e-book program, my creative juices were flowing and I came up with 5 blog ideas, a session idea to implement and all sorts of other juiciness. wahoooo!! and that was only after seeing the preview. Holy hay crops, I am so excited for the launch of this program. If you are thinking of starting a business, or are in business and are feeling constricted and stifled by the traditional shoulds of business, or want a fresh perspective~ you gotta check out her Firestarter program.
after a taste of what she offers in the session I attended, my four hour drive home flew by, even though it was in the dark (and I used to be scared of the dark, until a hypnosis session a month ago), and it was foggy, I was so inspired and brimming with ideas that it was completely worth it, and I kind of forgot to be scared. Style Statement
I attended a firestarter session with Danielle Laporte. It was fabulous, despite the snow and the stress of a 4 hour drive to Calgary, and then another 4 hours home. very worth it. It was a jam packed 3 hours of information. I had purchased her book Style Statement a couple months ago when I signed up for the session. the book is a fabulous journey of self discovery. I found myself resisting it, and making excuses not to read it and do the exercises. I found that strange, but I thought, it must not be the right time, or I am not ready. all sorts of excuses. then as the date for the session got closer, I was having shoulder pain. interesting, that is where I carry my stress. a lot of massages and smudging later, it still persisted. hmmmm….interesting. It was not constant, but irritating just the same.
so, off I went to the session. I was going to learn more about being an entrepreneur. yippee!! Loved it! met great people, that I hope to connect with more. Danielle is amazing. so, with all that inspiration I was determined to finish the Style Statement book and know what my style statement is. I still found myself resisting, and the shoulder pain returned. not cool!!! after a couple of days, I had a nice hot jacuzzi path with my harmony simple bliss bath salts, and decided no more excuses, I am finishing the book. well I did. and shocker to me my resistance lay in the fact that I did not want my style statement. my style statement is Creative Feminine. what is the problem with that? when I was a little girl living in my world where we were less that prosperous. I decided that I needed to be a business woman to make money and be successful. sounded like a great plan! how did that work for me? ok, but not fabulous. I have always struggled to shove myself into a traditional mold of a business woman. I do not fit. it is like wearing an outfit that is too small and then trying to hide it with a big sweater or jacket. feels constricting, and then trying to hide that fact. when I was in the work mode of working for other people, I did best at small companies where I could show up as myself. working for big companies or chains where they had rigid rules and a template of how they wanted their employees to be or do things did not work out so well at all. I never understood how doing things my way with great results could be wrong, just because it did not fit their template.
Now I get it. I am Creative. the style statement works like this you have a foundation word that represents your essential self. 80% of you. The next word that represents 20% is your creative edge. my foundation word being creative means that I like originality, unique people, experiences and abstract thinking. small mindedness and regulation deeply pains me. Creative is a powerful force that can inspire people to change for the better or shift direction. My creative edge is Feminine, which is a force to be reckoned with-sheer woman power. Feminine’s holistic, often metaphysical perspective on life honors spirituality as the key to fulfillment. Feminines greatest gift is her intuition. both words fit perfectly to me. I now realize why I chose the name Goddess Power for my company. time now to let go of my belief to be a success you have to be a traditional business woman. the shoulder pain? according to my favorite Louise Hay book it represents our ability to carry our experiences in life joyously. We make life a burden by our attitude. I was making life a burden and not very joyous by trying to force myself into a persona that did not fit. goodbye traditional business woman persona and hello Creative Feminine. although I do believe I will change the word feminine into Goddess. Hello Shannon the Creative Goddess. yup!! it feels great!!
